For all of you Nepo Babies alias Aje Butters who move around in your exotic air-conditioned cars or use car hailing services like Bolt and inDrive I wish you knew what the rest of us enjoy in our El-Rufai buses in Abuja, the fast fading Molue buses in Lagos and their equivalents in other major cities of Nigeria.

These buses are huge markets on the move. From the sale of pharmaceutical products to cosmetics. From nursery rhymes books to traditional medicines. Even aphrodisiacs are regularly on sale.

Amazingly some of these medicines are cure-alls: Diabetes, high BP, cancer, HIV, AIDS, staphylococcus, stroke, barrenness, hepatitis, eczema, toilet infection (whatever this means), etc etc. And they're usually very affordable.

As if trained by the same trainers the hawkers are usually smooth-tongued, always spicing their trade with copious humour 😊
You can't but laugh no matter your mood when they're in action.

And once a passenger makes the first purchase others will follow suit. They always announce they have limited quantities but somehow the more the purchases the more products that seem to emerge from their magic bags.

With these buses we avoid the hassles of busy markets like Idumota, Tejuosho, Oyingbo, Wuse, Nyanya, Mararaba, Ogbete, Dugbe, etc with their expensive products.

And lest I forget the buses are also veritable avenues for robust political debates and latest gossips in town.

To have a feel of what you've been missing, this week try these buses: Lugbe or Nyanya/ Mararaba to Wuse, Iyana Paja to Obalende, Aja to CMS, etc.

You will be wowed by your discovery.
