This is not only a tragedy but a monumental scandal.
Mass deaths of suspects in detention point to either severe torture or highly overcrowded and poorly ventilated detention facilities.
No suspect deserves to die in detention because he remains innocent unless the judicial process arrives at a contrary conclusion.
