TIME MANAGEMENT II

Psalms 90:12 KJV
[12] So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Time is the most expensive element of our existence, that is why you can always determine a man's values by the things he spends time on. One major reason why many waste precious time over frivolities is because they are yet to discover what they are called to do and where the direction of their destiny should be. You cannot get to your destination until you know where you are going. When your purpose for existence is defined, it will incite you to manage time. Someone said, 'The world makes way for the man that knows where he is going.' The Bible says in John 4:34, Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. That was his mission and he was very clear as he vividly lived it out as recorded in the four gospels.
Imagine you are a beneficiary of a trust fund that every blessed day gives you a cashier's check of about N86,400 with only the rule that whatever you do not spend each day will be forfeited. Lets say that it can never be rolled or carried over to the next day. I know you will definitely spend every penny of it daily without allowing a left over. The truth is that you and I have such a trust fund. We daily receive an alert of 86,400 seconds that automatically expires and is written off as a loss at midnight. Brethren, every second that you fail to put to productive use is wasted and lost forever. Time is precious. It therefore must be guarded, valued and respected. It is a great equalizer between the rich and the poor.
The anchor scripture said that God should teach us to number our days, which means to check for the accountability of our days. Numbering our days means that we are taking stock of how much we have been able to do in terms of our destiny fulfillment. It means we should pray for the grace to audit our days so we can become wise in taking decisions and also thanking God for His faithfulness. Every passing day is an opportunity that will never return, and therefore should be invested wisely in pursuing God's purpose for our lives. A life that is constantly evaluated before God is more likely to remain focused, fruitful, and prepared to give an account before Him. May God grant us wisdom to be able to give God a good account of our stewardship in Jesus name. Amen.

Daily Task
Intentionally set time for yourself on how to handle areas where you perceive your time has been wasted in the past.

Prayers
1. Father, grant me abounding grace to know how to redeem time.
2. Lord, may I spend my entire lifetime doing your will.
