Pete Vowles has arrived in Abuja to assume office as the new British High Commissioner to Nigeria, succeeding Dr Richard Montgomery CMG. Previously the UK Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Vowles brings extensive diplomatic and development experience from postings across Africa and Asia. He said his priority is to listen, learn and strengthen the longstanding partnership between the UK and Nigeria.
