Please, my people, help me understand this.

A man once helped someone who later became very wealthy. One day, the man who had helped him became seriously ill. The sickness consumed all his money, and the doctor requested a laboratory test that he could no longer afford.

His wife advised him to call his wealthy friend and ask for help. He did, asking for just ₦5,000 to carry out the test. But his friend told him that he had no money.

One week later, the sick man died.

The wealthy friend then came to visit the family. He told them that he would take care of the children's school fees and promised to give his friend a befitting burial. He later gave the widow a cheque for ₦2 million.

But the woman rejected the money and the offers and asked him to leave her house.

Why do some people wait until someone dies before showing them love, care, or appreciation?

Why can't we support and value people while they are still alive?

Sometimes, what a person needs is not a huge amount of money after their death, but a little kindness and support while they are still here.
