Things Nigerian students have somehow accepted as normal 😂
1. You were told to come by 8am, you came by 7:50am… and the person you're supposed to meet is just arriving by 10am. 😭
2. Spending almost half of the day waiting for one person to attend to you and everybody is just saying, “Wait small.”
3. Signing attendance in the morning, then later being asked to sign another attendance because apparently the first one has developed a problem. 😂
4. Getting to school or clinical early, only to spend the first one hour asking:
“So… what are we doing today?”
5. Your timetable says one thing, but the actual school schedule says “we shall see.”
6. Standing somewhere for so long that you start wondering whether you've actually come for clinical or you've come to decorate the environment. 😭
7. Carrying your full school/clinical load around all day because you don't know when someone will suddenly say,
“Everybody, come now!”
8. Being tired, hungry and frustrated, but when someone asks, “How was school?”
You just say, “Fine.” 😂
9. Finally getting home after a long day and remembering that assignment, reading or record book you were supposed to finish.
10. And somehow… after complaining about all of this, you still wake up the next morning and go again. 😂
Nigerian students, what have YOU accepted as normal that actually isn't normal?
