St. Notburga is honored as the patron saint of poor farmers and servants in the Tyrol region. Born to a peasant family in Rattenberg, Tyrol, she began her service at eighteen in the household of Count Henry of Rattenberg.

Her unwavering dedication to the needy was clear as she often shared food from the Count's kitchen with the impoverished. This act of kindness led Ottilia, the Count's wife, to dismiss her.

Afterward, Notburga served a humble farmer, continuing her charitable deeds. Following the passing of Count Henry's wife and a period of hardship, the Count reinstated Notburga to her previous position.

She committed her life to being his housekeeper, becoming well-known for her miracles and deep compassion for the less fortunate. St. Notburga's life is a shining example of selfless service and devotion to those in need.
