Dangote Petroleum Refinery has commenced its highly anticipated Initial Public Offering (IPO), offering Nigerians, Africans and eligible global investors an opportunity to own a stake in one of Africa’s biggest industrial projects.

The offer comprises 4.1 billion new ordinary shares at N525 each, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares costing N5,250. Open from September 14 to October 13, 2026, the IPO is expected to raise about N2.15 trillion, making it one of Africa’s largest equity offerings.

Aliko Dangote says the landmark transaction will democratise ownership, deepen economic inclusion and allow millions to participate in the refinery’s growth. The proceeds will support expansion, strategic investments and long-term value creation, while the refinery continues to strengthen Nigeria’s energy security and reduce reliance on imported refined products.
