Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has urged residents to remain vigilant and immediately report suspicious individuals, movements and unusual activities to security agencies amid reported plans to attack places of worship across the state.

The governor particularly warned residents of border communities to be alert to the influx of unfamiliar faces, stressing that timely intelligence-sharing could help security agencies prevent attacks before they occur. Adeleke commended the DSS for its proactive response and directed other security agencies to strengthen their security plans.

He also announced plans to convene the State Security Council to assess the situation, while urging traditional rulers to engage their communities and reinforce vigilance. Adeleke said protecting public peace remains critical to the state’s post-election peace-building efforts.
