Monday morning, my alarm went off at 6:30.

I opened one eye, looked at the clock, and thought, “That’s a very ambitious time to be awake.”

I hit snooze.

Five minutes later, the alarm went off again.

After the third alarm, I sat up and confidently announced, “I’m getting up now!”

My bed whispered, “Are you sure?”

I lay back down.

At 8:15, I woke up in complete panic, jumped out of bed, got dressed in record time, grabbed my bag, and ran out the door.

I arrived at work at 8:59, feeling extremely proud of myself.

My boss looked at me and said, “You’re early today.”

I checked the calendar.
