INTEREST IS A TWO-WAY STREET

No woman is necessarily “hard to get,” and no man is necessarily “not good enough” simply because someone isn’t interested.

Sometimes, she is genuinely not interested. Respect her decision and move on.

But sometimes, a woman may be interested and still have boundaries, fears, past experiences, or simply want to take things slowly. That doesn't automatically mean she is playing games.

The same applies to men. A man can genuinely like a woman but be unable to give her the kind of relationship she wants. That doesn't make him a bad person either.

The truth is simple:
Love shouldn't feel like begging, chasing, convincing, or forcing someone to choose you.

When the interest is mutual, there will usually be effort, communication, consistency, and respect from both sides.

Don't confuse boundaries with rejection, and don't confuse repeated rejection with a challenge to conquer.

Sometimes the most mature thing you can do is recognize when the feelings aren't mutual and walk away with your dignity intact. ❤️

What do you think: should people keep trying when someone seems difficult to get, or is it better to move on once the interest isn't clearly mutual? 👇 ..

Gladden Ngozi: That line, 'don't confuse repeated rejection with a challenge to conquer' is the bomb. 💯

Great post. Genuine question though: where's the line between giving it time and chasing?
I feel like that's where most people mess up.
Femi: We shouldn't automatically believe one side because it's a man or a woman. Every story has two perspectives, and sometimes both people contributed to the problem.
Joseph The Dreamer: 3 times is ok, zoom off after that, no time for nonsense
Judith Anyanwu: So true
Idorenyin Etim: on point
Dr Esther Nsa Akachukwu: Well said Sir. If the interest is not there just walk away to avoid stories that touches the heart oooo.
Rohan Vihaan: Sometimes the problem isn’t that someone is “hard to get”; they simply don’t want to be gotten. Knowing the difference can save you a lot of wasted effort.
Esther: If the interest isn’t mutual, know when to walk away
Jason Logan: There’s a thin line between persistence and pressure. The moment someone’s “no” is treated like a challenge, respect has already left the room.
First and the last: At the end of the day, being a good person is not about never hurting anyone; it's about recognizing your mistakes, making amends, and genuinely trying to become better. ❤️
