People often fail to appreciate what comes easily.

Time. Health. Support. Love. Peace. The presence of people who care.

When these things are always available, we begin to treat them as ordinary. We assume there will always be more time, another conversation, another chance, another tomorrow.

But life has a way of teaching value through absence.

Sometimes we only understand the importance of something after it is gone.

Gratitude is learning to recognise the value of what you have before loss teaches you the lesson.

Do not wait until someone is gone to appreciate their presence. Do not wait until your health changes to value your body. Do not wait until life becomes difficult to recognise the peace you once had.

Some of the things that feel ordinary today may one day become the memories you miss the most.

Appreciate deeply while life still gives you.

Felix: Sometimes the greatest blessings are the ones we have become too familiar with to notice, so gratitude is learning to value them while we still have them.
Deborah Joshua: Its sad that we often realise the value of what we have only when it is no longer there. We really need to learn to appreciate people, health, peace and the little things while we still have them. God help us
