Yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Hull was frustrating, but there is a funny Chelsea coincidence that might give us some hope.

Ten years ago, on 11 September 2016, Chelsea drew 2-2 with Swansea under Antonio Conte.

Ten years later, on 12 September 2026, Chelsea drew 2-2 with Hull under Xabi Alonso.

Conte’s Chelsea finished that season as Premier League champions.

So if we are looking for signs, this is the one we are choosing to believe in.
