This is Feyisola Dosunmu, widely known by his alias "Spartan," a notorious serial killer who terrorized communities in Ogun State, Nigeria, in 2020.
​Background and Cult Allegations
​Identity: Dosunmu was a graduate of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) in Abeokuta.
​Cultism & Mental Health: He was reportedly a member of the Buccaneer Confraternity during his school days. Following severe drug abuse and involvement in cult activities, he reportedly developed severe mental health issues and was admitted to the Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Aro, Abeokuta, from which he later escaped.
​The Reign of Terror
​The Killing Spree: Between April and August 2020, Spartan went on a violent rampage across the Ogere, Iperu-Remo, and Ilisan communities in Ogun State.
​Modus Operandi: He lived isolated in various bush hideouts and uncompleted buildings (where he famously drew scrawls on walls with charcoal). He would regularly sneak out of the bushes and hack randomly targeted victims to death using a machete before retreating back into hiding.
​Victims: He claimed the lives of at least 7 to 8 people, including a nursing mother, community leaders, teenagers, and farm security guards.
​Manhunt and End
​Police Action: Due to widespread terror causing residents to abandon their homes, a joint security operation involving police tracking technology targeted his bush enclave in August 2020.
​Fate: When law enforcement pinpointed his location in Ogere, Spartan resisted arrest by attacking officers with a cutlass and broken bottles. Police shot him in the leg during the altercation, and he subsequently died from the injuries.
