Cheating has somehow become a luxury that society judges by financial status.

A rich man cheats and people say, “At least he takes care of his family.”

A poor man cheats and suddenly he is called useless, irresponsible and unworthy.

The uncomfortable part?

Some women who would never tolerate infidelity from a struggling man may rationalize it when the man is wealthy.

Not because cheating became less painful—but because money changes what people are willing to tolerate.

And let's be honest: men do this too. People often forgive character flaws when the benefits attached to the person are attractive enough.

So perhaps the real question isn't:

“Is cheating acceptable?”

It is:

“How much of our morality changes when there is something valuable to gain?”
