Is the EFCC still an independent agency?

EFCC froze Osun State accounts over alleged ₦11bn fund misuse and sudden transfers.
Now president Tinubu has directed EFCC to go to court and discontinue the action, saying "the timing is bad before the election."

This shows the Presidency is interfering with EFCC operations.
An agency that’s supposed to be independent shouldn’t take direct orders to reverse its actions.
