(While I wait for the police invitations)
I am scared I might be set up by the panel so therefore

having regard to the public interest generated by this matter, the status of the public official involved, and the need to preserve public confidence in the investigative process, our client respectfully requests that his appearance before the Nigeria Police Force be conducted in a manner that guarantees transparency and fairness.
Accordingly, our client is prepared to honour the invitation, subject to the following requests:

1. That the interview be broadcast live by one or more national television stations or other accredited broadcast media organisations to ensure maximum transparency and to eliminate any possibility of misinformation or misrepresentation.

2. That his lawyers be permitted to accompany him and remain present throughout the interview.

3. That representatives of the Nigerian Bar Association be invited to observe the interview as independent observers to further enhance public confidence in the investigative process.

These requests are made in good faith and are neither intended to undermine the statutory investigative powers of the Nigeria Police Force nor to dictate the manner in which it discharges its constitutional and
statutory responsibilities. Rather, they are made in
recognition of the exceptional public importance of this matter and the need to ensure that the investigative process commands the confidence of the public.
