FG to Establish Six Regional Autism Centres to Boost Special Needs Care

The Federal Government has announced plans to establish six regional Autism Centres beginning in 2027 to improve diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services for children with autism and other developmental conditions. The initiative also includes expanding specialist training programmes in Nigerian universities to reduce dependence on treatment abroad and improve access to quality care nationwide.
