Every day, we see brand-new buses being donated for political campaigns by the First Lady and other wealthy Nigerians. Yet many government hospitals still lack functioning ambulances for medical emergencies. Instead, we're being introduced to "Keke ambulances."

When did a tricycle become a substitute for a properly equipped emergency ambulance? Our healthcare system deserves better.
