The price of getting what we want is relative and within context, often controversial. In other words, do what you have to do to achieve your goal, regardless of people's views or opinions, because controversy is almost impossible to avoid. No matter what path you choose, someone will question your methods, motives, or decisions. You cannot erase controversy simply by seeking universal approval.

The real caveat, however, is this: every action and every choice carries consequences. Success is not measured only by reaching the destination but also by your willingness to own the cost of the journey. If you choose a path, you must be prepared to live with its outcomes whether they bring praise or criticism, reward or regret.

Freedom of choice does not exempt us from responsibility. We may not control how others judge our decisions, but we are accountable for the consequences they produce.

When you take a decision which comes with criticism, tradeoffs, and potential isolation the next step is to ask yourself, I am still willing to pay the price?
