A Tragic Price for Blind Belief

A heartbreaking incident has reportedly claimed the life of a young man, Chikwado Eze, after he was allegedly buried alive as part of a ritual for spiritual fortification.

According to reports, Chikwado had secured a visa and returned to his hometown of Ugbaike in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State to inform his family before travelling abroad. His father allegedly suggested they consult a native doctor to perform rituals believed to guarantee success overseas.

The native doctor, identified as Onuwa, reportedly instructed that Chikwado be buried alive for one hour and thirty minutes as part of the ritual. Sadly, when he was exhumed after the agreed time, he was found lifeless.

The police have reportedly arrested both Chikwado's father, Uwakwe, and the native doctor as investigations continue.

This is a deeply painful reminder that no ritual, charm, or shortcut is worth risking a human life. May the truth prevail, and may the deceased rest in peace.
