Scrolling through the streets of social media this evening, I came across this and couldn't help but wonder about the caption.

"May God forgive her sin."

Why would a funeral poster include those words?
A funeral announcement is usually meant to honour the deceased, comfort the grieving, and celebrate a life. This particular wording seems to shift the focus from mourning to passing judgment.

None of us knows the final conversation between a person and God. That is beyond human knowledge.
Perhaps a better message would have been one of compassion, hope, and prayers for the family left behind.

It also left me with a sobering thought:
What will be said about each of us when we are no longer here?
Will people remember our kindness or our mistakes? Our compassion or our failures? The legacy we leave behind is often written long before our obituary.

Personally, I find such a caption inappropriate and callous. A funeral should be a moment to mourn, comfort the living, and leave judgment to God.

What are your thoughts? Do you think such a caption is appropriate on a funeral poster?

It's best you don't write all these stuffs on the poster, and bury her just like that.
You're ruining the image of the family
West Midland Abbey: Sis,

First, I want to ask something. Are you sure this poster is real?

The reason I'm asking is because, apart from the statement, "May God forgive her sins," they also included what they claimed was the cause of her death: "Excessive intake of abortion medicine." That is a very serious claim.
