Next president has been decided by God.

That is another psychological mind game some paid religious leaders will use.

And Nigerians need to understand what is happening when they hear statements like that.

A lot of these religious leaders sit with, dine with, and benefit from the same politicians who are destroying Nigeria.

So when they tell people that “God has already decided,” what they are really doing is planting passivity in the minds of their followers.

They want people to relax.

They want people to stop thinking.

They want people to stop questioning.

They want people to believe they do not need to vote because the outcome has already been settled somewhere.

That is manipulation.

God is not a God of confusion.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:33, “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.”

So let us ask ourselves honestly.

When you look at the past and present leadership of APC, the Muslim-Muslim ticket, the hardship, the insecurity, the division, the rising hunger, the economic pain, and the confusion Nigeria has sunk into under Bola Ahmed Tinubu and APC, does that look like something sponsored by God?

No, it does not.

That is human choice.

That is political decision.

That is leadership failure.

And that is exactly why people must stop allowing anybody use God’s name to confuse them.

God has given human beings free will.

That is one of the clearest teachings in scripture.

In Deuteronomy 30:19, God says, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life.”

Choose.

That means decision.

That means responsibility.

That means accountability.

Joshua 24:15 says, “Choose this day whom ye will serve.”

Again, choose.

Even in the Bible, God keeps putting responsibility back in the hands of people.

He gives wisdom.

He gives conscience.

He gives discernment.

He gives the freedom to make choices.

Electing leaders is one of those choices.

And that is why people must be very careful of religious leaders who want to remove responsibility from citizens and replace it with emotional surrender.

Because once people stop thinking, corrupt people win.

Let me even say something many people do not want to hear.

A lot of these religious leaders know that if Nigeria becomes better, many of the things keeping their business booming will reduce.

If Nigeria works properly, many of the prayer points people carry every week will disappear.

People will not be running to church every day to pray for jobs government should have made possible.

People will not be sowing seeds because of school fees government should make affordable.

People will not be paying for prayers because of hospital bills that a functional healthcare system should solve.

People will not be calling pastors every week to break generational curses over problems caused by bad governance, unemployment, insecurity, and economic hardship.

And that means bad business for some of them.

That is the painful truth.

Not every person speaking from the altar is speaking for God.

Some are protecting access.

Some are protecting influence.

Some are protecting political relationships.

And Nigerians need to wake up.

Get closer to God for yourself.

Know God for yourself.

Read your Bible for yourself.

Pray for wisdom for yourself.

Do not outsource your conscience.

Do not outsource your civic responsibility.

Do not let anybody use religion to make you powerless.

And while you are praying, act.

Get your PVC.

Make sure it is valid.

Enlighten the people around you.

Talk to your family.

Talk to your neighbours.

Talk to people in your church, mosque, school, office, market, and street.

Many Nigerians who need political education are not even online.

That is where the real work is.

Faith without responsibility can become manipulation.

Prayer without action can become passivity.

Hope without participation can become surrender.

Nigeria did not get here by magic.

And Nigeria will not get out of this mess by magic.

It will take citizens who think.

Citizens who pray.

Citizens who vote.

Do not allow anybody to make you believe your vote does not matter.

It matters.

And that is exactly why some people are working hard to make you feel otherwise.

Stay alert.

Stay wise.

Stay prayerful.

Stay involved.

And when the time comes, vote with conscience, with conviction, and with the future of Nigeria in mind.
