We were trooping into ATSCAN Hall for a Dance Lecture in DELSU, Abraka by the now renowned Professor Rasaki Ojo Bakare. He watched us carefully as we strode in with a look I couldn't place.
The first thing he said after pleasantries was: 'America has finally succeeded'. We were all bemused until he told us that we are abandoning our culture, our morals for western trends. He referred to Indians who carried themselves with the pride of their cultures.
That was in 2005.
Today, I look at this picture and wonder how astray we have indeed wandered.
