Researchers developed compounds called K102 and K110 that can stimulate the body’s myelin-making cells. In early studies, K102 helped rebuild the protective coating around damaged nerves and improved nerve function in laboratory models.

The research is still in early stages, but it offers new hope for future treatments that may repair nerve damage instead of only managing symptoms.
