🚨 BREAKING: "If This Election Is Free and Fair, I Will Win" — Governor Adeleke Sends Strong Message to President Tinubu Ahead of Osun Governorship Election

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence that he will secure victory in the forthcoming governorship election, insisting that the outcome depends on the election being conducted freely and fairly.

Speaking during his re-election campaign rally in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Monday, August 3, 2026, Adeleke said:

"With God on my side, I am confident of victory. If this election is free and fair, I will win."

The governor also raised concerns over the security situation in the state, alleging that members of the Accord Party were being killed. He appealed directly to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure that security agencies remain professional, neutral, and impartial throughout the election process.

In his words:

"Mr President, something is happening in Osun that you need to know. Our people are being killed and, as our father, we are appealing to you."

He further warned against any attempt to manipulate the election, adding:

"We will not accept any attempt to rig this election. Do not allow innocent people to be killed."

The governor's remarks have sparked widespread reactions across the country as political tension continues to build ahead of the Osun governorship election.
