TRIUMPHING THROUGH THE POWER OF JOY!

Samuel Logan Brengle served God with deep passion for holiness in the late 1800s. He worked with the Salvation Army and ministered in the busy streets of Boston with a message that carried power. However, his impactful preaching attracted enemies and opposition.
One night during a Salvation Army meeting, a man threw a heavy stone at the preacher. The rock struck Brengle violently on the head with great force. The attack nearly killed him and left him bedridden for eighteen months. However, during this recovery period, Brengle did not lose his joy in the Lord. Instead, he leaned deeper into studying the Word and praying, finding strength, peace, and victory in Christ. From that place of divine intimacy, he began writing on holiness and produced a classic book which has blessed generations worldwide. He later testified, “Had there been no brick, there would have been no book.” He even had the very brick used in the attack engraved with Genesis 50:20, declaring that what the enemy meant for evil, God had turned around for his good.
No matter what men intend for harm against us, the finished work of Christ ensures that God’s purpose will always prevail in our lives.
This is why you must refuse to lose your joy in the midst of trials. Joy is not the denial of pain—it is the celebration of Christ’s victory already secured through His Blood. When you operate with that understanding, even opposition cannot steal your song. Every insult, delay, rejection, or persecution becomes raw material for your testimony.
As believers, we are called to remain joyful and victorious even in the fire. Despite the battle, the Blood of Jesus continually speaks better things over our lives. It speaks mercy instead of judgment, victory instead of defeat, and glory instead of shame. Therefore, today, do not bow to discouragement. Rejoice in the Lord always, knowing that your trials are temporary but your triumph in Christ is eternal. As we stay joyful and anchored in the Blood, certainly we will always come out victorious from every conflict.

PRAYER:
Lord, I thank You for the power in the Blood of Jesus that secures my victory in every circumstance . Please help me to remain joyful and steadfast in trials, and to continually maintain unwavering faith in Your Word and promises, in Jesus’ Name.
