The Only Factor Behind Atiku’s Choice of Amaechi as Running Mate is Financial — Wike

It will be very difficult for Atiku to become president. The only reason for picking Amaechi as running mate may be financial, because if it is on the basis of delivering votes, that idea is dead on arrival. Rotimi Amaechi has not won any election since 2011, when I was DG of his campaign. He was DG of Buhari’s campaign in 2015, and Buhari did not get 25% in Rivers State. Again in 2019, as a minister, the result was the same. There is no state in the South-South that Amaechi controls.
