If Mr. President approves these insulting releases by his media aides, he is validating an unprecedented assault on the Church and the masses. If he does not approve, he must immediately silence his attack dogs and issue a personal statement denouncing the uncharitable attack on His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan.
The Bishops and the Clergymen are at the receiving end of the crushing and excruciating economy, providing respite daily to the people who throng to them daily for some relief.
We therefore stand firmly behind and with His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, the Catholic Bishops, and the global admonitions of the Holy See. We will not be intimidated; we will not be silent; and we will continue to demand that government stops making excuses and embark on good governance for the common good of all Nigerians.
God bless the Church!
God bless Nigeria!
