💥 Herdsmen attack kills four in Ortom's hometown

Suspected herdsmen attacked Guma Local Government Area in Benue State — hometown of former Governor Samuel Ortom — killing four people and injuring several others.

Residents said the assailants stormed the community around midnight while villagers were asleep, attacking homes and killing victims in their beds.

Benue State has been a recurring flashpoint for deadly clashes between farming communities and herders, with such attacks prompting repeated calls for federal intervention.
