Henri Poincaré (1854–1912) was a French mathematician, theoretical physicist, engineer, and philosopher of science whose extraordinary breadth of work earned him recognition as one of the greatest scientific minds of all time.

He made pioneering contributions to topology, dynamical systems, differential equations, celestial mechanics, and mathematical physics, laying the foundations for modern chaos theory through his study of the three-body problem.

Poincaré also advanced the theory of relativity before Einstein's 1905 paper and profoundly influenced the philosophy of mathematics and science through his writings on intuition, creativity, and scientific reasoning.

His famous Poincaré Conjecture, proposed in 1904, remained one of mathematics' greatest unsolved problems until it was proved by Grigori Perelman in 2003.

Poincaré's deep insights and unifying vision continue to shape modern mathematics, physics, engineering, and the study of complex systems.
