I am soooo…selfish 🫣‼️
I first noticed this when I sat with it honestly: one of the things I love doing is giving — my help, my resources, my time.
But why am I always so eager? Not really because of the person I’m helping. It’s because of what their happiness does for me🫣. Seeing someone happy BECAUSE OF ME, makes me happy.
Do you get it?
ISN’T THAT ACTUALLY SELFISHNESS ❓
Even the dictionary defines selfishness as putting your own needs, wishes, or gain before the well-being of others.
Let’s be honest — isn’t this true?
There’s a hidden truth behind almost everything we do: it gives us satisfaction.
A guy wants his girlfriend to look good SO OTHER GUYS ENVY HIM — IT’S ABOUT HIM, not really about her. And it works both ways.
A parent wants their child to be the best-performing student partly because of the glee it brings them. (Yes, the child’s future is more secure — BUT LET’S BE REAL , WHAT’S THE ACTUAL FIRST REASON❓)
Why are we all so self-centered❓
Why do we want everyone around us to live a certain way just so we can feel satisfied❓
Na wah oh‼️
