AUGUST 4; JOY UNSTOPPABLE!

John 16:33 (KJV)
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Mojtaba Hosseini faithfully pastored an underground church in Iran despite increasing persecution against Christians. Eventually, government authorities arrested him because of his faith and sentenced him to three years in the notorious Evin Prison. As he sought the Lord, he became convinced that God had strategically placed him inside the prison to reach people who would otherwise never hear the Gospel.
Filled with fresh joy and purpose, Mojtaba began sharing Christ with fellow inmates. Murderers, drug traffickers, and hardened criminals listened as he spoke about God’s saving grace. When he longed for a Bible, God answered in an unexpected way. A prison imam secretly helped provide portions of Scripture disguised as English study materials, which were later translated into Farsi. Mojtaba copied and distributed these passages among the prisoners. Many gave their lives to Christ. What seemed like a prison sentence became a mission field, proving that joyful trust in God can transform adversity into opportunity.
One of the greatest spiritual weapons God has given His children is enduring joy. Joy is not the absence of trouble; it is the confidence that Christ has already secured our victory. Jesus declared in John 16:33, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Because Christ has overcome, we can remain joyful even before our circumstances change.
The enemy constantly seeks to steal our joy because he knows that discouraged believers become spiritually weak. But when we choose to stay full of joy through God’s Word, prayer, thanksgiving, and praise, we are strengthened to overcome every challenge. Nehemiah declared, “The joy of the LORD is your strength.” Joy keeps our faith alive, our hope strong, and our eyes fixed on God’s promises rather than our problems.
Therefore, refuse to surrender your joy to fear, disappointment, delay, or adversity. Stay thankful in every situation, knowing that God is working all things together for your good. As we continually rejoice in the Lord, His presence will strengthen us sustain us, and lead us triumphantly through every battle until our testimony is established.

PRAYER:
Lord, please help me to remain full of Your joy regardless of the circumstances around me. Strengthen my heart through Your Word, fill me continually with thanksgiving and praise, and help me to walk in unwavering confidence in Your Word in Jesus’ Name.
