Tottenham preparing summer bid for Victor Osimhen

Tottenham Hotspur are stepping up efforts to sign Nigeria international Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray before the summer transfer window closes, according to reports.

Spurs have made initial approaches in the region of £50m–£55m, though Galatasaray are holding out for closer to £65m. The Turkish champions' valuation is complicated by Osimhen's long contract and his importance to the club in Istanbul.

Tottenham have struggled to replace Harry Kane since his departure, with a lack of goals and underwhelming attacking performances last season driving the push for a marquee striker.

No deal has been confirmed, and the gap in valuations suggests negotiations could be protracted.
