@Scripter said So, you don't have an excuse to treat people badly.
well, Trauma changes people. It doesn't just leave painful memories—it can reshape how someone thinks, trusts, loves, and responds to the world. That's why some people become bitter, while others become deeply compassionate because they know exactly what pain feels like.
But here's the difficult truth: our past may explain our behavior, but it doesn't excuse how we treat others. Healing is not pretending the pain never happened; it's making the conscious decision that your wounds will not become someone else's.
Breaking the cycle is one of the bravest things a person can do. Sometimes the kindest people are those who simply decided, "What happened to me will end with me."
