Righteousness is not something you earn by being good enough. It is a gift God places on you the moment you receive Jesus Christ.

THE REAL CHRISTIAN PROBLEM
Many believers spend their whole lives trying to work hard enough to feel righteous before God. This leaves them tired, guilty, and never fully sure they are accepted.

REFLECTION
Righteousness is a gift, not a wage. A wage is something you earn by working. A gift is something you receive because someone loves you. Jesus Christ took your sin on Himself at the cross, and He gave you His righteousness in exchange. This is the greatest trade in history. You did not qualify for it by your good works. You qualify for it by receiving it. Today, stop trying to earn what has already been given to you. You are the righteousness of God in Christ. Walk today knowing you already have full standing with God, not because of what you did, but because of what Christ did.

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I did not earn it. I received it as a gift.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION
• Stop trying to earn what God has already given you as a gift.
• Say aloud today, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ.” Write down one guilt you have been carrying, and give it to God in prayer.
• Read 2 Corinthians 5:21 slowly and let it sink into your heart.
• Encourage someone today with the truth that righteousness is a gift, not a reward.

I am made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I did not earn this standing, and I cannot lose it by my own failures, because it is a gift I have received by faith.
