Good evening, everyone. My last post of the day. Let us talk tonight, not just as a brother and sister on this platform, but as friends, two people who are honestly, quietly, looking for love. I mean true love, the real kind.
When I first joined this platform, I was very rigid, focusing on just one niche: health. And before you say I sound too serious for a fun platform like Leekee, let me explain. I am a spiritual and mental health therapist, so naturally, I could only share from what I actually had knowledge in. That was until The sweet in my only heart. Lol, Mrs @Com4th , gave me some proper advice, encouraging me to simply post whatever my spirit leads me to share, and not just what fits neatly into a box.
So tonight, I am wearing my relationship therapist hat.
Here is my message for tonight. I have noticed that every single one of us, myself included, craves love from others. And yes, there is nothing wrong with that. We want our partner, our friends, our family, to see us, to choose us, to show up for us in the specific ways that make us feel truly loved. "I want my baby to do this." "I want them to notice me." "I want them to make me feel special." These are honest, human desires, and there is nothing wrong with wanting them.
But let me ask us a slightly harder question tonight. Before we ask what we want to receive, are we equally ready to give it?
Here are five things many of us crave from the people we love, and the real question sitting quietly beside each one.
1. We crave attention.🌿 We want our person to be fully present, to put the phone down, to look us in the eye, to actually listen when we speak. But are we giving that same undivided attention when they are the one talking?
2. We crave affirmation.🌿 We want to hear that we are doing well, that we are appreciated, that our efforts have not gone unnoticed. But how often do we speak those same words over the people we claim to love?
3. We crave consistency.🌿 We want a love that shows up the same way today as it did yesterday, not one that is warm on good days and cold on bad ones. But is our own love consistent, or does it depend entirely on our mood?
4. We crave patience.🌿 We want grace when we mess up, room to grow, time to become better. But do we extend that same patience when the people around us stumble?
5. We crave security.🌿 We want to feel safe enough to be fully ourselves, without fear of judgment or sudden withdrawal of love. But are we creating that same safe space for others to be themselves around us?
Love, real love, is rarely one-sided for long. It grows best where it is watered from both directions. So tonight, before you ask, "Are they giving me what I need?" pause and ask yourself first, "Am I ready to give this too?" Goodnight, everyone. Love well, and love fully.

Love should be mutual, not one person constantly giving while the other only receives. You shouldn’t have to beg for attention, affection, respect, or effort.

Doc Doc, are you sure you are not a certified relationship expert as well😉😁
This is one question we rarely ask because all we see is ourselves and our wants
Thank God, there's room for improvement. The question further is, am I giving the love I claim to deserve?

Love isn’t just about what we get. It’s about what we give too. We are quick to say love me like this but are we loving like that too?
