Veteran Nigerian actor and musician, Harry B Anyanwu, has appealed to members of the #Nollywood community and the public to support actress Maureen Okpoko, who reportedly lost her sight several years ago.

“I am right here in Enugu with my sister of inestimable value, Maureen Okpoko. Nollywood, let’s reach out to her and support her. She’s blind, but she can restore her sight,” Anyanwu said.

He called on actors, actresses and well-meaning Nigerians to contribute towards the cost of her treatment, stressing that collective support could provide the actress with an opportunity to regain her sight and improve her wellbeing.

Okpoko is a veteran Nollywood actress known for her many contributions to the Nigerian film industry.
