Your Excellency President Tinubu and Honorable Minister Enikanolaiye,

240 million Nigerians are writing as a concerned Nigerian who has followed recent reports from News Dot Africa, TheSightNews, and PremiumNews regarding the call for increased media visibility for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nigeria Technical Aid Corps (NTAC).

With all due respect sirs/madams, we believe the core issue facing our nation is not media visibility but meaningful action that directly improves the lives of the 240 million Nigerians you serve. Since 1987, NTAC has deployed over 10,000 professionals to more than 40 countries, and currently 274 volunteers are serving in 13 ACP nations. While these numbers reflect international engagement, they also highlight a painful reality at home: millions of talented Nigerian youths and graduates have remained unemployed for decades.

Respectfully sir, it is difficult for Nigerians to accept media campaigns when the lived experience of unemployment, underemployment, and lack of opportunity remains unchanged. Nigerians do not need the media to tell them the government is working; they need to see and feel the impact through job creation, empowerment, and economic growth.

If the current leadership cannot create sustainable opportunities for our youth, then it may be time to allow younger, capable Nigerians to take on these responsibilities. Action will always speak louder than words, and no communication strategy can replace genuine progress.

We respectfully demand you to prioritize job creation, youth IT and manufacturing training, and domestic development over media visibility. Nigeria’s future depends on the opportunities available to young Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA
