HIS EVERLASTING LOVE.

The demonstration of the love of God in Christ is never taught in the scriptures from an experiential point of view.

It is always referred to as a past activity. His love is specifically hinged on the death and resurrection of Christ. His love for us is not based on our personal experiences. Our experiences do not validate or disprove his love. It is an unshakable truth. It was present even before we were born.

Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Right from the prophecies of the Old Testament, God’s love for man had been revealed.

Isaiah 53:4-6, 12. He had always communicated that sin would be dealt with. Jesus was emphatic about the same. Psalm 103:12

John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you…

Vs 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

The believer is in the mighty hands of God. The apostles preached the same in Acts 10:38, Acts 7:31.

• Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Vs 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

From the above, we see that the scriptures are assertive about an irrevocable commitment that the Father has towards us. This commitment is irrespective of our good or bad conduct.

Romans 5:8 shows that God by himself offered to die for man even when man never acknowledged him, how much more now that we have received him His forgiveness was already made available even before we were born. It never was a reaction to our request but his desire for all mankind which we received by our faith in the gospel of his son.

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Confession: The forgiveness of sins is an eternal reality to me.
