How the shocking confession of a pastor’s wife changed my perception about “model marriages” — Media personality Ruby

Media personality Ruby has revealed how a conversation with a former colleague she once admired completely changed her perception of marriage.

Speaking on a podcast, Ruby said the woman appeared to have the perfect Christian home, with her husband serving as a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

“I used to have a colleague, she had like a model marriage. When I mean a godly marriage, her husband is a pastor in RCCG. They go to church together. I looked up to them so much. I was like, this is marriage, this is what marriage should be.”

Ruby said she became so convinced by their relationship that “I started to believe that men don’t ch+at.”

However, after they became closer, the woman allegedly confided in her that all was not as it seemed.
“She was now like, ‘Let me tell you the truth, oh. All these things that you’re seeing in this marriage is not what it is.’”

According to Ruby, the woman disclosed that she accompanied her husband to a location in Lekki, where he had consensual encounters with another woman.
“The man doesn’t allow another man to sl++p with her, but she allows him to sl++ps with another woman,” Ruby said.
“And they go together. He sl++ps with the woman and sleeps with her too. They do it once every month and that’s what makes the man happy, and she just does it.”

Expressing her disbelief, Ruby said the couple’s public image gave no hint of what she claimed was happening behind closed doors.
“If I show you this man’s page, when you see him on the pulpit like this, there’s no way you’ll be in that church that you will not fall under anointing. If she didn’t open up to me, I would never have known. And when you see them outside, you’ll be like, ‘Oh my God, model couple,’” Ruby said.
