NAICOM’s verification of 43 insurance and reinsurance licences provides the market with the first confirmed post-deadline outcome of the recapitalisation exercise under NIIRA 2025. The register comprises 23 non-life, 10 life, 8 composite and 2 reinsurance licences, representing a Proshare-computed aggregate statutory capital floor of N715bn. A further 8 insurers remain under final regulatory review.
