Manchester United's pursuit of Iliman Ndiaye has suffered a significant setback, with Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal opening talks over a potential move for the forward.

Al-Hilal are preparing an opening bid for Ndiaye, with their financial firepower expected to outmuscle European rivals competing for his signature. United had been tracking the 24-year-old, with reports valuing him at around £75m.
