True love should be seen in action.

I’ve heard many conversations about love languages, and while I don’t dispute that people express love differently, one love language will always stand out to me: acts of service.

To me, love is more than words, gifts, or grand gestures. Love notices. Love helps. Love carries the weight when the other person is tired.

You cannot claim to love someone and comfortably watch them struggle under the weight of responsibilities without asking, “How can I help?”

For example, husband, you say you love your wife, but you’ve watched her wash clothes from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the first thing you ask afterward is, “What’s there to eat?” No na.

Love should make you want to lighten each other’s load, not add to it. Acts of service aren’t about keeping score or assigning gender roles. They’re about seeing the person you love, recognizing when they’re overwhelmed, and stepping in because their well-being matters to you.

In my opinion, some of the loudest declarations of love are often the quietest actions.
