Your Excellency President Tinubu, 240 million Nigerians write to you as concerned Nigerians who are deeply troubled by the widening gap between the lived reality of Nigerians and the assurances repeatedly given by your administration.

Across the country, families are struggling to feed their children, communities are overwhelmed by insecurity, and young Nigerians continue to face conditions that diminish their hopes for a stable future. These hardships are not abstract statistics—they are daily experiences that have persisted for decades, long before many of us were born, and they have intensified under successive governments.

Your recent remarks suggesting that hunger existed before your birth and that Nigerians should look to religious institutions for hope have caused widespread distress. While faith-based organizations play an important humanitarian role, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is clear: the security and welfare of 240 million Nigerians are the primary purpose of government. Nigerians expect leadership that confronts hardship with empathy, accountability, and decisive action—not dismissal.

We are also concerned that key members of your cabinet may not be giving you a full and accurate picture of the suffering across the nation in the 36 states 774 LGA. The perception that those in power live insulated from the realities of ordinary Nigerians—free housing, uninterrupted electricity, comprehensive security—has deepened public frustration. Meanwhile, countless families continue to lose loved ones to violence, poverty, and systemic neglect.

Nigeria is at a critical crossroads. 240 million Nigerians believe that the country requires a complete reset—one grounded in transparency, competence, and a renewed commitment to Nigerians. In light of the ongoing hardship and the growing loss of public confidence, we respectfully demand you to consider whether your continued leadership best serves the nation at this moment.

Our demand is simple: Nigeria needs a path toward stability, accountability, and genuine progress. If your administration cannot deliver the structural solutions required to address hunger, insecurity, and economic collapse, then stepping aside may be the most honorable and patriotic choice.lf these cannot be achieved in 4 years your cannot do it in 50 years respectfully sir we mean no disrespect we are tired of the poverty and darkness
