Nigerian sprinter Samuel Ogazi🇳🇬 made history at the #Glasgow2026 Commonwealth Games, winning GOLD🥇 in the men’s 400m final with a time of 44.25 seconds and securing Nigeria’s first-ever Commonwealth title in the event.
Former World champion Jereem Richards of Trinidad and Tobago🇹🇹 took silver in 44.82 seconds🥈. South Africa's🇿🇦 Zakithi Nene got the bronze🥉.
"It feels good to make such history for Nigeria. I've always told myself, 'Samuel, you have to put Nigeria on the map'" he said post-race.
