Nigerian superstar Ayra Starr revealed she underwent a major surgical procedure that was more complicated than expected. She did not disclose her specific medical condition or the exact nature of the surgery, but she is thankfully currently resting and recovering positively.

“Hey Mobstarrs, I’m sorry you’re not seeing as much of me as I would like. I had major surgery a few days ago. I was hoping it would be a quick recovery but it was more complicated than they expected,” she wrote on her social media.

Despite the setback, Ayra Starr reassured fans that she only needs time to recuperate before returning to work.

“I just need a bit of rest and I’ll be back!!!” she added.

The singer also urged her supporters to continue promoting her forthcoming project, Starrgirl, asking them to spread the word and place their orders.

“Starrgirl is coming so soooon. I need everyone out there spreading the word. Tell your friends, your family, your neighbours! Order Starrgirl ASAP!!! Love you guys.”
