"SOMETIMES SILENCE IS THE MIRACLE 🤐"
Like many people, I've read about Zechariah's encounter in the temple many times. But today the Spirit of God spoke something new into my heart.
In Luke 1:11-17, the angel of the Lord appears to Zechariah, announcing God's plan for a miraculous son ; a son who would go on to do wonderful things. But in verse 20, the moment the angel detects Zechariah's unbelief, he makes him mute ;unable to speak🤐‼️
You know why?🤷🏻♂️
It was love.🥹
God understood the power in the tongue of His child. Based on Zechariah's state at that moment, God knew that if he kept speaking, his next words could actually affect the miracle already in motion for him and Elizabeth.
We need to understand the power in our tongue ,especially the tongue of a dedicated child of God.
Proverbs 18:21 says your words carry the power of life and death. Ephesians 4:29 tells us to say the right thing at the right time. James 3:5-6 speaks to just how powerful this small member, the tongue , is. And Matthew 12:37 seals it, it says, by your words you'll be justified, and by your words you'll be condemned💁
That's an irrefutable fact‼️. And God wasn't going to let Zechariah's human weakness derail his own miracle.👌
So that silence wasn't punishment , it was a caring Father protecting His child from himself.
The real lesson? Whenever you sense that what's about to come out of your mouth isn't pleasant — regardless of the trigger — GO DUMB. 🤐‼️
Your words are triggers for your life's outcome.
On my fridge, I've pasted Philippians 4:8 — a reminder to think only on what's true, pure, right, holy, lovely, and of good report. Because as Luke 6:45 says, whatever comes out of your mouth is simply the overflow of your heart.🤷🏻♂️
So as a true child of God, whenever you sense unpleasant words rising, in whatever form , PLEASE , GO DUMB.🤐‼️
I pray the Holy Spirit strengthens you through it all.
WHAT’S ONE SCRIPTURE YOU’VE PASTED SOMEWHERE TO GUARD YOUR MIND ❓

Fools speak and wise men alike.
Let's think before we speak.
Proverbs 21:23 NKJV
[23] Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles.
