Your Excellency Governor Alex Otti, Your Excellencies, Governors of the 36 States of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 240 million Nigerians
write to you with urgency and clarity on behalf of millions of Nigerian youths and graduates who are demanding immediate, practical, and nationwide action to address unemployment, economic stagnation, and the lack of digital infrastructure that continues to hold back our nation’s potential.

Nigeria has over 240 million citizens, the majority of whom are young, educated, energetic, and eager to work. Yet unemployment remains one of the greatest threats to our stability and future. We believe that every Local Government Area—774 in total—must immediately begin implementing job‑creation programs that directly employ Nigerian youths and graduates. This must be done uniformly across all states without delay.

We demand:

Free electricity across all LGAs to enable productivity and innovation.

Free Wi‑Fi/data in every LGA to support digital jobs, remote work, tech development, and global competitiveness.

A hiring process that is simple, transparent, and accessible. We reject online registrations, unnecessary screenings, and interviews that exclude millions. All that should be required is a valid Nigerian passport or a valid national ID.

We also demand clear communication from all state governments: When will the hiring of 240 million Nigerian youths and graduates begin? We request a specific date, not slogans, not promises, and not delays. This must begin now—August 1, 2026.

Furthermore, we acknowledge and commend Governor Alex Otti’s recent move to revive one of the Southeast’s oldest economic ambitions through the proposed Azumini–Obeaku Sea Port and Inland Waterways Corridor. This project, discussed with China Harbour Engineering Company Limited, has the potential to transform trade and industrial activity across Nigeria’s eastern corridor. We urge all governors to adopt similar bold, job‑creating initiatives that directly benefit the youth.

Nigeria cannot afford to wait. The future of our nation depends on decisive action, nationwide coordination, and immediate implementation of job‑creation programs across all 36 states and 774 LGAs.
