Daniel Bwala, who was Alhaji Atiku Abubakar's 2023 presidential campaign spokesperson, has never called out or directly replied to his former boss since he switched from the PDP to the APC.
Despite all the statements Atiku has been releasing to criticize President Tinubu and his administration, Daniel Bwala has not, for once, publicly taken on his former principal.

The same thing Garba Shehu did. Before becoming the spokesperson to former President Muhammadu Buhari, he had served as Atiku Abubakar's media aide. Even after moving into government, he did not make it his business to attack Atiku at every opportunity.

That is a level of political loyalty and respect for a former principal that many people can appreciate, regardless of party differences.

Kenneth Okonkwo should learn from this. You don't have to agree with your former principal forever, but constantly turning yourself into the chief critic of someone you once praised and worked for raises questions about political consistency and loyalty.

Interestingly, Daniel Bwala does not wait for Peter Obi to make a post criticizing President Tinubu or his government before firing back with a response. Yet, he has consistently avoided engaging Atiku Abubakar directly, despite Atiku's persistent criticisms of the same government he now serves.

Politics is about interests, but character is revealed by how people treat those they once stood beside. You can defend your new political family without making it a mission to publicly ridicule your former one.

Loyalty may not be everything in politics, but it remains one of the qualities that define integrity and maturity.
